Rose-Mary Faulkner

Rose-Mary Faulkner is an emerging glass artist based in Canberra, ACT which is Ngunnawal, Ngunawal and Ngambri land. She graduated from the Australian National University School of Art & Design, Glass Workshop, in 2015 with a Bachelor of Visual Arts and then completed honours in 2016. Since then, Rose-Mary has been working extensively to expand and develop her artistic practice. She is a studio tenant at Canberra Glassworks where she primarily makes her work. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally (Australia, Berlin, America, Japan) and has been acquired as part of the national glass collection at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery. Her work recently toured the United States as a finalist in the 2018 Bullseye Emerge exhibition.

In addition to her exhibition work, Rose-Mary has a small production line using the offcuts of her decal work to create jewellery and homewares. This allows her to re-use material into new work that would otherwise be discarded, and to consider extensions of ways that we use and wear glass in our everyday lives
