Carol Cooke is a Canberra based artist encompasses two threads of enquiry, textiles and sculpture, to create 2D and 3D works.
Carol's work explores traditional craft techniques with research based investigations, much of her work opens conversations to environmental, social and political issues of the day, the past and the future. Carol stitches daily, exploring experimental embroidery and records the process in journals.
Carol completed a double degree at Australian National University, Canberra completing a Visual Arts Degree, majoring in Textiles, 2016 and Art History and Curatorship 2018. Working from her home studio, Carol exhibits in Canberra, interstate and overseas.
