Basketry + Textiles

Lisa Stevenson is a basket maker and fibre artist based on Ngunnawal land, just outside the ACT. With a passion for using natural materials, she has been growing and harvesting her own basketry materials, or sustainably foraging materials from her local area. Creating functional and sculptural forms using various basketry techniques Lisa seeks to explore the possibilities of design with natural fibres. Sharing her passion for basketry, Lisa has been delivering workshops on various basketry techniques. She is currently undertaking a degree in visual arts at Australian National University and has exhibited in Canberra and interstate.
