Uncommon by Eliza-Jane Gilchrist opens tomorrow night at the Craft + Design Canberra Gallery. Eliza-Jane creates abstract sculptures based on plant/seed forms using cardboard. Combining craft techniques such as paper-cutting, folding, paper-engineering, papier Mache, and pattern-making, with non-traditional materials, Uncommon is a show that is large in scale unusual, accessible and thought-provoking.
