About the Maker: 

Living and working on Kaurna Country, Adelaide, Holly Phillipson makes functional ceramic artworks influenced by global craft traditions and historical artifacts, as well as durable wheel-thrown and hand-built tableware. Holly’s passion for making is fuelled by the rich history of ceramic production and its enduring role throughout human history.

Holly graduated with a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Arts) with Flinders University and Adelaide College of the Arts where she studied ceramics as her chosen discipline. She was invited to exhibit her graduating work in the 2022 Helpmann Academy Graduate Exhibition and was awarded with both the Square Holes Award and the Lang/Mckee Award for artistic excellence and talent.
