Tunnel book: Out, Through and Beyond
Looking from earth towards the celestial space, the book is inspired by a lash tree we saw on our way to Gudge. The hole in the tree becomes a window to a landmark usually water, in this case the Murrumbidgee River. The two-plate textured etching of the lash tree provides the viewer a window into the book. The following page is a photograph of ‘moon rock’ between Ready Cut Cottage and Gudgenby Homestead. The third page is an etching of the tree covered hills that surround the cottage and the final scene is a photograph of the Milky Way showing the emu running.
