Corrugated Forms

"I'm happy to be responding to the work of Bolaji Teniola, who is a talented industrial designer and furniture designer. Bolaji shared a range of joining techniques, and materials used within his practise. Bolaji was interested in developing a piece using fluted and corrugated forms, while pairing a lightwood frame with dichroic film to allow light to pass through the object. Through experimentation, a plaster mold was developed for slip casting using corrugated metal sheeting. Once the fluted, slip cast forms had been fired and glazed, a pearl lustre was applied to each vessel, forming an iridescent effect."
