In the 1960’s slides and slide shows were a relatively common way to capture memorable events, we’ve taken that idea and extended it to reflect a nostalgic view of the moon landing, our time on the land in Namadgi and at Readycut Cottage and our fascination with the moon, the stars and beyond. The box slides are in 4:3 ratio reminiscent of the format used for film and television in the 1960s.
Box 1: As we were
The moon as it would have looked on 21 July 1969 at the time of the TV broadcast; Neil Armstrong’s heartbeat as he took the first ever step on the moon; Honeysuckle Creek Tracking Station drawn with words from the transcript between Apollo 11 and Houston throughout the mission.
