Meet the Maker: Kristina Neumann. Minimal, light and dynamic, Kristina Neumann’s range of contemporary jewellery offers a unique local interpretation of classic forms, balancing the simplicity of everyday wear with the sophistication of something special. Working from her studio in Canberra, Neumann experiments with form, material and processes to examine how objects evoke meaning beyond their physical characteristics.
A recent graduate of the ANU Jewellery and Object workshop, Neumann’s work has been recognised nationally and internationally through a number of awards and prizes including the Talente 2020: International Craft Exhibition Prize, at the Handwerkskammer in Munich, Germany, the Toowoomba Regional Gallery Contemporary Wearables Emerging Artist Prize and the CAPO Craft ACT Emerging Artist Prize
