Craft ACT is offering four makers the opportunity to be part of a professional development project that celebrates the range of beautiful handcrafted work being created in Canberra.
Topics covered include developing work, promotion, stocktake, being sales ready, and presentation of your work and your brand in a market setting. The program will culminate in selling your work as part of a Craft ACT stall at Undercurrent Design Market 23-25 November 2017.
Ready, Set, Market! will be a makers' showcase and is open to work from jewellers, ceramicists, textile artists and more.
We are looking for fresh talent, new makers and debut marketeers!
The purpose of this program is to offer support to makers who have had limited experience selling at markets and who are interested in receiving support and mentoring through the process of product refinement, pricing, styling, promotion and selling of your work.
Each participant will receive:
- A place on a shared market stall at Undercurrent Design Market presented by the Curatorium as part of the DESIGN Canberra festival at the National Portrait Gallery, 23-25 November 2017
- Market Tips + Tricks and checklist
- Face to face product development workshop and discussion with other selected participants
- One on one consults
- Step by step support
- Your participation in the Undercurrent Design Market will be promoted through Craft ACT and DESIGN Canberra channels
This entire program, including participation in Undercurrent Design Market over three days, is available to current Craft ACT members for $180.00.
