With support from our community, Craft ACT has reached our fundraising goal of $12,500 for the MAKE:OVER campaign, one week before our deadline.
We would like to thank each and every one of our 68 donors and all the wonderful supporters who have made this campaign possible.
All the funds that have been raised will go towards our MAKE:OVER professional development program, which will up-skill five artists and give them the tools to amplify their digital presence. Craft ACT has partnered with local content and communications agency, Coordinate, who will support the program by lending their expertise to the strategy and digital sessions, as well as the production of five videos. The artists participating in the pilot are Bling Yiu (emerging ceramic artist), Sarah Murphy (contemporary jeweller), Jenni Kemarre Martiniello (internationally acclaimed glass artist), Annie Trevillian (textile designer) and Rolf Barfoed (furniture-maker).
We thank all of the individuals who have helped us in reaching our target, for your generosity and commitment to the future of craft in Australia.
Big love to the whole fundraising team
The small but mighty team here at Craft ACT have been brilliant in their leading of fundraising strategy and implementation. Over the past couple of years we have been trying to develop new skills in fundraising and it's been great to see such strong results and community support.
The Craft ACT Board of Management each committed to raising a personal target of $800. Congratulations to Jenny Edwards and Graham Humphries who EXCEEDED their targets. Thanks to other board members Rebecca Coronel, Sam Bryant, Laura Crick, Jennifer Kemarre Martiniello, Isabelle Mackay-Sim, Jennie Cameron AM, David Marshal AM for their personal contributions and help in promoting the campaign. For some of our board members seeking donations has been a new experience, we thank them for their commitment to helping us reach our goal.
