Robyn works primarily in ceramics after initially training and practicing in glass in the 1990’s. She is now beginning to use both materials in her work, utilising their contrasting and complimentary qualities.

Robyn is primarily interested in form and the spaces and relationships between forms. Her years working in glass saw the evolution of work which was pared down, organic, tactile and sensual, these qualities continue in her ceramic pieces.

She appreciates the immediacy of clay and its visual density and aims to achieve a stillness in her textured, solid and curvaceous pieces. Robyn’s carefully considered surfaces and textures are created to deliberately entice touch.
