Mitchell Whitelaw is an Associate Professor, Design, at the ANU School of Art. His research spans practice and theory in the fields of digital design and culture; working with data and computation as core materials in a creative research practice. Mitchell works with partners and collaborators on applied, practice-led research with public outcomes and his theoretical work draws on and contextualises this practice, as well as investigating emerging concepts and forms in digital art and design.

In 2017, Mitchell will run the new Design Degree at the ANU School of Art with colleague and fellow designer, Geoff Hinchcliffe.
