Kerry Johns graduated as an art teacher in Brisbane in 1966, then studied painting under John Ogburn in Sydney, followed by intensive studies in European Museums. She has exhibited consistently since her first solo exhibition in 1979 including two shows in Ezair Gallery New York. Her invitations to public galleries include Broken Hill City Art Gallery, Penrith Regional Gallery, Caloundra Regional Gallery, Fremantle Arts Centre and Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery. A finalist in many major prizes, Johns won the Basil Sellers Prize Eurobodalla 2008 and the Eutick Memorial Still Life Award 2016. She is represented by Artsite Gallery, Sydney.
